Food scientists around the world investigate the composition of food stuffs by looking at e.g. fats or carbohydrates, but also at eventually contained additives and flavorant ingredients. Flavor scientists duplicate existing flavors or develop new ones by using natural ingredients or artificial ingredients or a combination of both in blends. We see food and flavor scientists as highly innovative and curiosity driven people who in many cases have special requirements connected to their analytical work. Especially in situations where human senses perform better than electronic separation means.
